| A big part of the reason Animals
Taiwan does what it does is to raise awareness of animal mistreatment
here in Taiwan.
In kindness to animals, the true warmth of a society may be measured.
And through kindness to animals, people share and proclaim their
love for nature.
As an organization with a large part of its membership coming from
the foreign community in Taiwan, we have benefited from considerable
publicity. Yet, we are certainly not the only group here rescuing
animals or trying to find homes for abandoned pets.
We are always happy to get additional exposure as long as our mission
is accurately represented. Most of us have lived in Taiwan for many
years, and we understand the many reasons pets are abandoned, including
abandonment out of compassion. But we feel there is definitely a
place for us, and groups like us, to help Taiwan's famously compassionate
society overcome the problem of neglected and abandoned animals
wandering the streets. |
